Twisted Tea Christmas, Tea Shop Mystery #23 by Laura Childs | Berkley – Penguin Random House
Dear Reader,
‘Tis the season for murder as tea maven Theodosia Browning caters a fancy Victorian Christmas party for Miss Drucilla Heyward, one of Charleston’s wealthy doyennes. But smack dab in the middle of the Fa-la-la’s, Miss Drucilla is murdered, her gold rings stolen off her fingers, and a genuine Renoir snatched off the wall. The police come screaming in while Theodosia studies the guests and wonders — whodunit?
Running a shadow investigation (and putting herself in grave danger), Theodosia investigates multiple suspects while hosting holiday tea parties, stumbling upon a second dead body, and sheltering a cadre of homeless dogs. I wrote this with plot, pacing and action reminiscent of a thriller — then sprinkled in the magic of Christmas — to make this Tea Shop Mystery highly entertaining.
All my very best,
Laura Childs
