The inaugural book influencer is Christina Marie Dutting who has an eclectic taste but enjoys Historical, YA and Middle-Grade novels the most. Her genuine captions paired with playful photography angles and vibrant colors make her Instagram page pop. We’re excited to introduce her to all of you!

Quick Facts About Christina

Q: Why did you start sharing books as a bookstagrammer?

A: I started as a Bookstagrammer completely by accident. Up until a year and a half ago, I had never even heard of Bookstagram! I had ordered a couple of monthly curated book boxes and wanted to take part in the photo contests and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to learn that a whole bookish community existed on Instagram.

Q: What have you learned about yourself through bookstagramming?

A: Just how creative I could be and how much fun I could have changing up the theme on my page.

Q: What book changed your life and why?

A: Oh gosh, Harry Potter for sure! I was in high school during the Harry Potter craze and the series really turned me into an avid reader.

Q: What are some books you’ve read in the past 6 months that you’ve loved and why?

A: Three of my favorite reads so far this year have been Our Last Echoes by Kate Alice Marshall because it scared the daylights out of me, The Incredible Life of Winston Browne by Sean Dietrich because it was so heartwarming, and Falling For Your Best Friends Twin by Emma St. Claire because it was absolutely hilarious.

Q: What books are on your TBR list?

A: Well, my TBR list is honestly endless! A few books on it that I’m excited to read soon are Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo, In a Book Club Far Away by Tif Marcelo (read BookTrib’s review here), The Last Green Valley by Mark Sullivan, Pride and Premeditation by Tirzah Price, and The Adventure is Now by Jess Redman.

Q: How would you describe your taste in books?

A: I am a very eclectic reader. I read just about everything, but enjoy Historical, YA and Middle-Grade reads the most.
