Just the Right Book! Podcast, hosted by Roxanne Coady of Connecticut’s acclaimed, award-winning, independent bookseller R.J. Julia, is now available on BookTrib.com, the premier website where readers meet writers. The podcast and BookTrib are both dedicated to helping readers find their next favorite read and this pairing will open up a world of great possibilities.

In this episode that you do not want to miss, Roxanne Coady sits down with Michael Connelly, the author of the highly renowned novel The Late Show, as well as many of his other world-famous novels (he’s written thirty!) The former crime reporter speaks with Coady about being the Executive Producer of the TV series Bosch, now on its fourth season, and some of his favorite characters. He also talks about his love for jazz, how he chose writing over engineering, and his brand new book series featuring LAPD Detective Renee Ballard.

Michael Connelly made a move from Philadelphia to Florida when he was only 12 years old, and from there his love for books really kicked off. He decided to become a writer after discovering the books of Raymond Chandler when he was attending the University of Florida. This helped inspire him to choose a major in journalism and a minor in creative writing, which led to his amazing career today. In his lifetime, Michael Connelly has interviewed a variety of people, including survivors of a crash, and covered subjects that made headlines at the time – such as murder and violence in the cocaine wars. Over sixty million copies of his thirty novels and one work of non-fiction have been sold across the world and translated into 39 languages.

Books in this episode:

The Late Show by Michael Connelly
