I am a Cosmopolitan NYC woman who relocated to rural Central Florida with my husband, six years ago to a city that has a five-mile radius. Imagine the culture shock! If you do a count, I can imagine that there are more cows and horses here than people. It’s very calming to frazzled nerves, parking is a breeze with very little traffic and living in the woods is so cleansing to the soul. The tree faeries speak to me regularly.

I will tell you here, confidently, why I am the expert to write the content in this novel. How many times did you hear “write what you know?” I am doing just that in Gemini. Not only did it cut down on research, and believe me I did plenty, and I will tell you about that as well, but I was also able to write and include themes, settings, scenes, characters and dialogue that I’d be able to make come alive because I’ve been there, done that.

From my background as a NYS Licensed School Psychologist to teaching in NYC for thirty-three years, to my Ph.D. in Parapsychic Sciences you will find aspects of my career experiences throughout Gemini.

What I teach my clients re the mind/body connection, one of my characters does. What I recommend regarding nutrition my main character recommends. What I teach about Tarot analysis, two of my characters do. What I teach about Greek Goddesses one of my characters knows. What I teach about contacting and communicating with your spirit guides one of my characters does a lot. In fact, the guide has a life of his own!

So through reading my novel, you will be going into a journey of psychology, the paranormal, metaphysics, and let me not leave out, romance.

So how did it all begin?

I was going through a bored stage here in Central Florida. I had my fill of cows and horses and did not hesitate to tell all my friends and anyone I met that I was longing for the hustle and bustle of New York City. I desperately needed mental stimulation. I put it out to the universe to give me some survival ideas. The universe told me to write a novel. I had thought about it, but never took action until Oct. 2011. After rewrites, critique partners, going to conferences, taking workshops, I was offered a contract by Black Opal Books on May 13, 2014, to which I responded with a resounding ‘YES!’
