PRIMITIVES

By Erich Krauss
Does humanity deserve to survive?

Thirty years after The Great Fatigue infected the globe—and the treatment regressed most of the human race to a primitive state—Seth Keller makes a gruesome discovery in his adoptive father’s makeshift lab. This revelation forces him to leave the safety of his desert home and the only other person left in the world … at least, as far as he knows.

Three thousand miles away in the jungles of Costa Rica, Sarah Peoples has made her own discovery—just as horrific, and just as life-changing. It will take her far from the fledgling colony of New Haven, yet never out of reach of its ruthless authoritarian leader.

On separate journeys a world apart, Seth and Sarah find themselves swept up in a deadly race to save humankind.

FREE THE ANIMALS

By Ingrid Newkirk
A classic work of radical popular storytelling.

First published by Noble Press in 1992, then reprinted and revised by Lantern in 2005 and 2012, this thirtieth anniversary edition is revised, expanded, newly typeset, updated, and has a new foreword, by Academy Award–winning actor Joaquin Phoenix, and an afterword by Dr. Emily Trunnell, who describes whether and how the experiments you read about in this book have changed (or have not) over the last three decades.

Free the Animals is the story of Valerie, a twenty-three-year-old police officer whose world is turned upside down when she learns about the abuses of animals in laboratories. The book describes how this law-abiding woman comes to challenge the system by taking direct action and examines why ordinary people are moved to do extraordinary things on behalf of animals. Free the Animals is not only a classic for our times but a compellingly relevant examination of our cruelty to other animals.

THE AUTHOR

INGRID E. NEWKIRK is founder and president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the largest animal rights organization in the world.

Her campaigns to promote cruelty-free living have made the front pages of The Washington Post and other national newspapers. She was named a top business person of the year in Forbes magazine, and has been profiled in The New Yorker and twice in People Magazine. She has appeared on The Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Larry King, Politically Incorrect, Crossfire, Nightline, 60 Minutes and 20/20 among others and enjoys a lively debate and the opportunity to show how easy it is to make animal-friendly choices.

EVENTUALLY THEY ALL FALL

By Jenna Marcus
A captivating story of love and loss, betrayal and redemption.

Domino Garrison knows that he is the king of all that is weird, but he would rather abdicate that throne. He would rather be a normal teenager who just goes to school and works at a bookstore—and for all intents and purposes—that’s exactly how he appears to his peers. However, aside from his best friend, Griswold, no one knows Domino’s secret, or his secrets. Domino has the ability to see into other people’s fantasies. He thinks this ability is pretty useless; however, little does he know that his ability is more powerful and expansive than he thinks.

When extraordinary circumstances begin to occur, Domino soon discovers that not only can he see fantasies, but he can also pull these fantasies into reality. However, doing so causes horrendous pain and mental anguish as Domino is concerned that the power he has could corrupt his mind.

However, he knows that it is up to him—with the support of his friends Griswold and Lucy, and his boss Miles—to put a stop to the unnatural occurrences plaguing the earth before it is too late.
