BOOKS:

Rain (2020)

Your biggest literary influences:

Cassandra Clare, Cinda Williams Chima, Patrick Hicks, Orson Scott Card, and many many more.

Last book read:

Heartless by Marrissa Meyer

The book that changed your life:

The Commandant of Lubizec by Patrick Hicks. This book took the perspective of the impossible. The moments that no one knows about because there would be no way to know. It made me cry, and laugh, and left me feeling both sad and mesmerized. I think many people could learn from this book as I have.

Your favorite literary character:

It’s difficult to pick a favorite, but I would have to say that if I did have one it would be Hanson Alister from The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima. I love a character that keeps their values, one that doesn’t need to change to be interesting.

Currently working on:

My second book, a sequel to Rain, and what will be the prequel to Rain as well.

Words to live by:

Everyone Lies, everyone loves, and eventually everyone will lose.

Advice for aspiring authors:

Don’t let anyone tell you when you’re finished. When you like it, you like it, that’s all that matters. If one person reads it or a thousand, that’s all you need.
