The book that changed your life:

I have read many books across a wide range of genres. The story that has carried me through childhood to adulthood would be Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol.

There are so many different elements to this book and the reader gets a flavour of how we can change our own lives to become a better, kinder person. Ebenezer Scrooge is depicted as a man with no empathy and miserly, but we soon learn how the boy became this man. It is as if all the joy that life brings has been sucked from him. The biggest step Scrooge encounters is to revisit his past and to come to terms with loss, hardship and love. Through the visitation of three spirits he learns to open his heart and by doing so becomes a better man. Three spirits from our past are not there to guide, like Scrooge, we have the opportunity to become better than we are and to learn how to enjoy and appreciate our lives, even during our weaker moments.

A Christmas Carol is an inspirational book that appeals to all ages. It has been a huge influence to me, not only as an author but as a person.

Your favorite literary character:

It is hard to pick one literary character and name them your favourite. If I were to do so, I would say it would be Jane Eyre. It is Jane’s innocence and her strength that gets her through such terrible life obstacles. From the abusive living conditions at her Aunt Reed’s to Lowood School. It isn’t  Jane’s suffering that is the key element to her character, but the fact that she finds love and remains faithful to it. Despite Mr Rochseter’s desperate and selfish acts, Jane is able to forgive him. Her character shows strength, humanity and growth. She a woman of substance.

Testimonials

Beautiful Heartbreaking Story: Really enjoyed this book. Filled with facts about the World War 2 but I really enjoyed how the character's grew through out the story. I didn't really like Rose's character at the beginning but as she got older in the book I started to like her more, she's a very honest character. Trying to not give much away I would suggest giving this book a go. It has the power to make you smile and then cry the next minute and wow didn't I sob! It had my mind racing and I’m not ashamed to admit I went to bed and dreamt about it. It’s a story you'll pick up and not want to put down! Beautifully written and well thought out! Enjoy fellow readers!

Exceptional Storyline: This is a fascinating story told through the eyes of a psychopathic killer. The attention to detail is exceptional and the characterization is real. I found myself quickly drawn in to this fast-paced and cleverly written tale which held my attention with its many twists and turns culminating in an ending that was totally unexpected and just brilliant.

Brilliantly Written Horror Story … with Unexpected Twists: What a fantastic book, you must read this!! A disturbing and horror filled story that also has it's humorous moments too. A brilliantly written book that will have you gripped from the first page to the last page, once you begin reading you will not be able to put this book down as you always need to know what happens next and you will be regularly surprised. It is not simply a case of reading a novel because it's detailed and descriptive narrative pulls you in and you become part of the horror unfolding in front of you, it is like you are actually living the nightmare yourself. I would strongly recommend this book and it is also worth checking out the other titles by this author, you will not be disappointed.
