About Jodé Millman

Jodé Millman is the author of the best-selling Seats: New York theatre guidebooks. Her debut thriller novel, The Midnight Call, won multiple awards, including the 2020 Bronze IPPY Award for Suspense and the 2021 Independent Press Award for Legal Thriller. Jodé is a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, NY, which serves as the setting for her legal suspense novels. In her writing, she draws upon her experiences as an attorney to capture the tensions that arise when a small community is rocked by tragedy. She is also the creator of The Writer’s Law School educational program, and is the co-host and co-producer of the popular podcast Backstage with the Bardavon (available on Apple Podcasts, iHeart Media, Spotify and Google Podcasts). Hooker Avenue, the next installment in her “Queen City Crime Series,” is due out in April 2022.
