Susan knows the area well — she’s spent a good deal of time there and witnessed the culture firsthand. As an expert in women’s issues, she brings all of her knowledge to bear on themes that include the gender divide, how women are positioned in our society and their innermost feelings about themselves as daughters, mothers, sisters, friends, wives, mothers-in-law, daughters-in-law, rivals, colleagues and lovers. Under her pen name, she spins all of this into compulsively readable women’s fiction.
