BookTrib’s own Chelsea Ciccone sat down for a virtual chat with F. Scott Fitzgerald historian Richard “Deej” Webb today on Facebook Live. If you were unable to attend, fear not! The interview is available on demand.

Webb is the author of Boats Against the Current: The Honeymoon Summer of Scott and Zelda, which advances the theory that the inspiration for The Great Gatsby was not Great Neck, Long Island, but rather Westport, Connecticut. His coffee-table volume, now in a “Centennial Edition,” includes vintage articles, photographs, and descriptions that bring to life that summer the Fitzgeralds were in Westport, “a vibrant coastal town overflowing with illicit booze, wealth, and creativity—all from a populace keen on skinny-dipping in the Long Island Sound.” (Read our full review here.)
