YouTube Originals has premiered BookTube’s seventh episode, an in-depth conversation with essayist David Sedaris, whose confessional approach to writing about love, shame, family and death has earned him national acclaim. For this episode, BookTube invited comedian Joel Kim Booster and YouTubers Cindy Pham (ReadWithCindy), Jake Roper (VSauce3), and Francine Simone to explore David’s radical honesty.

Previous episodes have featured Michelle Obama (Becoming), Malcolm Gladwell (The Tipping Point and Talking to Strangers), Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid’s Tale and The Testaments), James Patterson (Alex Cross), Melinda Gates (The Moment of Lift), Bryan Stevenson (Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption), and Jacqueline Woodson, (Red at the Bone, Brown Girl Dreaming).

A new episode premieres the third Thursday of each month.
