Your biggest literary influences:
Roald Dahl and Rex Stout

Last book read:
A Brave New World

The book that changed your life:
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I was a reluctant reader with some dyslexia. It wasn’t until my librarian forced this book upon me that I became a real reader. Suddenly candy made sense. I could see how the story was crafted and what the author was doing. It opened my eyes in the most fantastical way.

Your favorite literary character:
Archie Goodwin from the Nero Wolfe Mysteries. He is funny, fearless and up for anything. Three qualities I like most of my characters to have.

Currently working on:
The beginning of two new series.

Words to live by:
Begin each day as if it is a mystery.

Advice for aspiring authors:
Read! Then whatever you’re writing make sure to finish it!
