Hozven added that your digestive system is healthiest when you have a “diverse microbio,” which in turn helps you better assimilate nutrients in your food and ward off pathogens. Many people have a suppressed microbio, and she believes this is a big part of why we’re seeing so many chronic diseases today. The benefits of probiotics are well documented and you’ll get a ton of them with fermented foods.
Guess this all means it’s time to finally try kimchi, or, if that’s a tad over-the-top for you, you could go the popular Kefir or yogurt route. Then again, there’s always the ol’ standby: the pickle. Perhaps it’s a stretch to say that pickles will give you the courage to land a date but hey, social anxiety does imply a certain lacking in that area, right? Maybe there really is a positive link.
