There is nothing more disappointing than strongly disliking the last book in a series. You’ve spent years reading the earlier novels, obsessing over the characters, and waiting for the next one to come out. When a long-running series is finally over, you’re hoping for some sort of resolution, all those loose ends tied up, and maybe even a happy ending.
