The Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos, is a Mexican holiday celebrated on November 1 and 2. It is believed that on The Day of the Dead, spirits of deceased family members return to earth to partake in the day’s festivities. The day includes a variety of traditional foods, including sugar skulls, or Calaveras, and special bread called pan de muerto.
