Matilda Kahl’s uniform idea doesn’t have to be boring

When I first read Matilda Kahl’s article, “Why I Wear the Exact Same Thing to Work Every Day,” for Harper’s Bazaar, I was a little appalled. I love fashion way too much to narrow my daily possibilities to black pants and a white shirt with a bow—Kahl’s “uniform” of choice. But the more I thought about it, the more sense it started to make. Every day, so many of us wake up early and rush to get ready for work, juggling our hair, makeup, breakfast, that gym bag we forgot to pack the night before…the list goes on and on. So why not cut out the time we spend staring at our closets, wondering what to wear for the day?…
