Lindsay Blake’s dream list is one hundred deep. She has traveled to over thirty-two countries, caring for others and exploring our beautiful planet. She’s jumped out of a plane, lived in a mud hut in South Sudan, nearly died from a tapeworm in Pakistan, and dreams of flying to outer space. She’s shaved her head twice “just because.” Lindsay lives the good life in Omaha with her son, Carsen Warner.

J.K. Rowling and Jane Austen

Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
The book that changed your life:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. I read the series as an adult, but I felt like a kid as I entered the wizarding world. Everyone craves to make their mark, and this book series allowed me to join Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Neville in changing the course of history.
Your favorite literary character:
Professor Snape. Out of all heroes, Severus is the most interesting. He isn’t good, be he ultimately isn’t bad. His finest quality is his loyal love to Lily.

Advice to new and aspiring authors:
Have a plan. But give yourself grace to veer off from said plan when needed.
