The book that changed your life:
When I was 18, I bought a book called Ecofiction. It was a collection of short stories that were environment-oriented, yet filled with the impending doom of humanity’s effect on nature. The book horrified me with its simplicity, and the message was simply that if we don’t take care of Earth, it will consume us. As pollution and neglect of our planet hit the news, I am reminded daily of the dire warnings in this out of print book that became a harbinger of the future.
Your favorite literary character:
Elizabeth Bennet, because she it both sensible and a model of integrity.
Currently working on:
I just published Mindfulness for Kids with Calista Press. It was my first non-indie assignment, and I had a great time. I collaborated with a therapist and enjoyed the experience. It was published under my Carole P. Roman brand. I am hoping they will ask me to do another. I am finishing up a book called Marketing Indieworld with authors Julie A. Gerber and Dr. Angela Hausman that should be published later this spring.

Advice to new and aspiring authors:
Don’t talk about it, write! Finish your work and than get a good editor. Don’t go into this thinking you’re going to make millions of dollars, and don’t quit your day job.
