ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

“Who are you?”

My name is B.J. Cyprian and I’m a storyteller. I have a keen ability to relate to people, and I use this skill to celebrate the similarities within diversity in my writing.

I’m often asked who I sound like, and I’ve thought about this for a long time. The truth is, I sound like my mother, my sister, my friends and my family. I embody the voices of the world around me. My stories start with a question. In my 2nd Novel, The Gray Line, the question was: What would happen if a grief group ran into a vigilante? For Site 87, my first TV pilot, I asked: What would happen if the government had a retirement home for spies? I excel at character development and layered themes.

Which brings me to “Why now?” I could go through a litany of reasons I spent almost 30 years self-sabotaging myself with doubts, but I believe the answer to that question is: Now is my time. The world needs a diverse voice seeking to unify with laughter, humanity and empathy.

"The Gray Line tells a completely gripping story from the first few pages, and you immediately want to know these characters. Not many authors can write about grief with humor. BJC does it expertly. I laughed out loud, cried, and had a few jaw drops at some of the plot twists." - Amazon Review

"A dark and powerful narrative that radiates intrigue, Cyprian takes her readers on a harrowing journey, underpinned by a captivating plot, taught prose and a notable sense of timing as she blunts the edge of certainty to deliver a host of inspired cliff-hanger scenes." - BookViral Reviews
