violence in the city’s most troubled district. When he is tasked to talk to the victim’s mother, he promises to get the people responsible for the killing of her nine-year-old daughter, a promise no homicide detective should ever make.
Desperate to keep his promise, Mitch enlists the help of his cousin Lee. A retired Army Ranger
and ex-con with a special skill set to help Mitch keep his promise.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Mark Chartrand is from the Gateway City, St. Louis, Missouri. Thicker than Water is the first
book in the Gateway Detective series. The follow-up, The Sixth District, will be out 2023. Mark loves
spending time at his home in Navarre Beach Florida with his two best buddies, his dogs Chilli and Sydney. Mark is a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan. He loves his time at the beach, taking road trips to amazing places all over the US, where he loves to meet and talk to people. He uses these trips to develop characters and story ideas for the wide variety of books he writes. He is proud of his greatest accomplishment, being the father of his incredible son Cohl. Mark enjoys his sunrises and sunsets at the beach. Surf Kayaking, Skydiving, and tinkering on his 68 Ford Bronco.
