Instead, it is the religion of an overzealous disciple who was able to gain possession of every gospel and almost every epistle, in addition to most of the other manuscripts related to early church affairs, and then after the death of the apostolic authors, edit and rewrite them to reflect his peculiar religious beliefs and philosophy. For instance, he conflated Jesus with God, and called him Lord. That disciple is identified as Lucius, the Bishop of Cyrene, who unfortunately, never understood the spiritual nature of man, the spiritual resurrection of Christ, or the purpose for why God sent Christ on a mission to Earth.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
John Byer retired from a career in law enforcement after working 29 years for a large American metropolitan police agency where he investigated a wide range of crimes while assigned to patrol, vice, detectives, internal affairs and traffic. He also spent 20-some years in a private business that provided security and investigations for high profile Hollywood movie stars, celebrities and companies before taking on the formidable challenge of solving the 2000-year-old cold case of fraud contained within the pages of the New Testament. As a lifelong Christian, he was stunned and astounded at what he had learned. After somber thought and reflection, the Bible Detective finally decided to share his shocking discoveries with the people of the world due to their impact on Christian understanding and belief. Prior to his employment in law enforcement, the Detective attended the University of California at Berkeley where he earned a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Criminology.
