Observing their remarkable romance, the author uncovers a depth to their love he’d never fully grasped. Their nonstop silliness, playful puppy love, and a strength in his wife that he’d never fully understood. A happy-ever-after born of a puppy love that grew each year.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Marc grew up in Brooklyn, New York in the 1950s and ’60s. During the summers, his family vacationed in the Rockaways, NY, a summertime beach community.
On his sixteenth birthday, Marc started his working career as a clerk at a nearby supermarket. He earned maybe $1.25 an hour and made extra money from a side business he cooked up; ferrying groceries home from the market for elderly customers.
Marc developed an interest in watching the construction of buildings and would visit construction sites after school. He went on to attend a school of architecture and while attending college, became a licensed real estate salesperson.
Married when Marc was twenty-two and Barbara twenty, they moved to a rural New Jersey suburb, where they raised their three children. Marc worked for a home builder and later at a management/design consulting firm. With his lifetime experiences in design, he applies the same creative process to his writing. He’s a proud author and grandpa to three grandkids
REVIEWS:
Amazon Best Seller
Can an ordinary life be extraordinary? It depends on the lens through which one views it. In the case of Marc Gellman, that lens is Shiva Eyes, and the life is the one he describes in his powerful and unforgettable memoir.
When reading a memoir, one should ask if there are any literary values in addition to the personal stories and sentiments. Writing about those who are dearest to you can be both rewarding and scary experiences for a writer. In this book the feeling is a great reward for the author and for us.
It is highly honorable that a partner and soulmate shares his reflections on their love and passages of life with mastery, beauty, and incredible passion.
Marc Gellman is an incredible storyteller. His honesty and ability to become vulnerable for his readers is outstanding.
