In 1970, Wanda and a tight-knit circle of friends trade California’s chaos for the quiet promise of North Freedom, Wisconsin, determined to build a communal farm rooted in music, friendship and the belief that love could change the world. They plant organic crops, restore a weathered cabin and spend their nights playing country songs at a local bar, convinced they’re creating a better future from the ground up. But as outside pressures and personal struggles test their bonds, the dream begins to fracture, sending everyone in different directions — and leaving Wanda alone to hold onto what remains.
Fifty years later, the divisions that once pulled them apart resurface, threatening the very legacy they hoped to pass on to the next generation.
