We got a chance to talk to Anoosha Syed, award-winning author and illustrator, about her newest book, Lost Stick (Viking Books for Young Readers). The illustrator of over 40 children’s books, she’s worked on projects from the APALA Honor book Bilal Cooks Daal to Karamo Brown’s I Am Perfectly Designed and her own solo debut, That’s Not My Name! Now, she gives us a behind-the-scenes look at what went into her latest release, along with valuable insight when it comes to the world of children’s book publishing.
