John W. Warner IV joined BookTrib to discuss his epic WWII espionage saga, Little Anton. The project, which Warner meticulously researched, took him on two trips to Germany and ten years to write. The story covers a lot of ground and contains a wealth of forgotten history that has been overshadowed by more popular events. In fact, Warner says he “started to know more than the museum” employees as he dug further into the life of Ferdinand Porsche and the connection between Grand Prix racing and the rise of the Third Reich.
In this interview, we put Warner’s extensive knowledge to the test. He did not disappoint, offering up gems of little-known facts and diving into a few of history’s uncomfortable narratives that his series brings to the table.
