BOOKS:

Life on Repeat (2020)

Your biggest literary influences:

Dan Brown, T.S. Eliot, Tom Clancy, Louisa May Alcott

Last book read:

Facing the Elephants by Rebecca Black

The book that changed your life:

The Ayatollah Begs to Differ: The Paradox of Modern Iran by Hooman Majd. I first read it ten years ago, and it revealed how much people in the West and Middle East have in common, despite how different our lives seem on the surface. It remains relevant and in the forefront of my mind today as our own society struggles to find common ground.

Your favorite literary character:

Jo March from Little Women. She’s tenacious, outspoken, but still kind. I have three sisters and always identified with Jo when growing up.

Currently working on:

Book Two in the Sarah Sagas, title still in the works.

Words to live by:

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

Advice for aspiring authors:

There will always be those who like your work and those who don’t. In the end, you will always be your harshest critic, so write for yourself.
