His Excellency Dr. Ghoulem Berrah was a freedom fighter for the Independence of Algeria, an American man of Science, lecturer at the Yale School of Medicine, Ambassador and Emissary of President Houphouët-Boigny of Côte d’Ivoire. He was a tireless proponent of world peace. In 1976 he initiated the first secret meeting between the ICIPP (the Israeli Council for Israeli Palestinian Peace) and PLO of Chairman Arafat. A devout Muslim and interfaith leader. He walks you through Mecca, the Vatican and Jerusalem. He died in 2011.
A French edition of Dr. Berrah’s memoir, A Dream for Peace, was published in 2018. The English version, published in February 2019 by The Ghoulem Berrah Foundation, is a very rich and captivating life story paved with many bumps, twists and turns, multiples lives in one life.

A Dream for Peace chronicles the amazing journey of a freedom fighter, a hard working man of science turned international diplomat, who dedicated his entire professional life to working for peace. His work lives on in the Foundation. The Foundation’s purpose is to set up the Dr. Ghoulem Berrah Interfaith Center to ensure that people of all faiths will find concord and harmony in a common quest to reach God.
