Anna Bond Paints New Jane Austen Covers

Jane Austen’s classic novels, Pride and PrejudiceEmma, and Sense and Sensibility by Puffin in Bloom now feature new covers by Rifle Paper Co.’s Anna Bond. Anna said, “As a continuation of the Puffin In Bloom series, I hand-painted the cover artwork with gouache paint while incorporating details and themes from each story.”

The redesigned titles will be available for Jane Austen fans to enjoy on February 13, 2024.


Books Save Lives Act

Last week Massachusetts Congressional Representative Ayanna Pressley introduced a bill to directly address book bans on the national level. The four part bill would ensure all primary and secondary schools have a trained librarian, require public and school libraries to maintain a diverse collection of books, classify discriminatory book bans as violations of federal civil rights laws, and direct the Government Accountability Office to report on the effect of book bans on underrepresented communities.
