Slogging through winter? Four movies and a book help you reach out to spring

If you’re reading this from anywhere in the United States, chances are that it’s too cold, the sidewalk is too icy, or there’s too much snow piled up in the yard, or around the driveway, or by the sides of the road. (If you’re in Florida or Hawaii or somewhere like that, just pipe down and let the rest of us wallow in our winter misery.) Here in New England, winter is fun in December, and maybe for a couple of weeks of January.
