Forget about Hillary vs. Bernie. Never mind Trump vs. Carson. The real action online is in a slew of geek-tastic movie trailers that are dropping faster than late-Autumn leaves. Last week saw the release of the latest trailer for Captain America: Civil War, a movie that may as well be titled Avengers 3. Marvel Cinematic Universe to Spider-Man: Welcome home, Web-slinger!

OK, fanboys and girls, this is huge. This is bigger than huge. This is Marvel-ous! Ever since Sony Pictures Entertainment was electronically hacked last year, the blog-o-verse has been flooded with reports of Sony and Marvel Studios negotiating the return of the motion-picture rights to Spider-Man, Marvel’s most iconic hero, to the studio that is currently at the forefront of the recent wave of super-hero blockbusters. Superbowl XLIX: Captain America vs. Star-Lord

Star-Lord, Captain America, and a Historic Super Bowl Payoff UPDATE: This is what heroes are made of. After the New England Patriots beat the Seattle Seahawks in the most thrilling roller-coaster of a Super Bowl ever played, Washington native Chris Pratt (who played Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy) announced that he would honor his wager with Massachusetts born-and-bred Chris Evans (the big screen’s Captain America). The two had entered a Super-sized bet in which the loser would have to visit a children’s hospital in the winner’s home town dressed in full super-hero regalia (see story below).
