In the newest chapter of Susan Lax & Friends, spiritual counselor Susan Lax is joined by Mollie Sugarman, the Clinical Director of NYBRA’s Patient Empowerment Program to discuss how to “Discover your Oasis After a Diagnosis.” Susan and Mollie will discuss the spiritual and emotional toolbox patients can tap into to help calm the turmoil after a diagnosis.
Susan Lax is the acclaimed author of A Heart’s Landscape: An Invitation to the Garden of Moments (our review), and a spiritual coach with a passion to help guide those touched by illness and challenged with transitions. As the Clinical Director of NYBRA’s Patient Empowerment Program, Mollie Sugarman leads a program that focuses on the psychosocial components related to undergoing mastectomy and breast reconstruction as a result of a cancer diagnosis or for risk reducing purposes. There will also be a special guest appearance by Shira, a singer devoted to promoting healing through music.
