Long nights by the fire, crisp temperatures, changing leaves … There is so much to love about fall — especially when you have a stack of brand-new novels to read! I’m teaming up with one of my favorite official Tall Poppy Bloggers (and Bookstagrammers!), Kristin Thorvaldsen from Always with a Book, to round up a few novels from a variety of genres that must be on your “To Be Read” list during the coziest time of the year! A warm drink is necessary — the pumpkin spice is optional.

The Wicked Widow by Beatriz Williams

I love Gin Kelly and I’m excited to catch up with her and be immersed in the 1920s/Prohibition Era once again. And I can’t wait to see which familiar faces from previous books pop up — this author loves having her characters make cameos in all of her books.

I fell in love with Peachtree Bluff and the Murphy clan in the first three Peachtree books, and I am ecstatic to be able to revisit these characters again in this latest installment. A “storm of the century” around the holidays sounds like this is going to be quite the book!

Everything We Didn't Say by Nicole Baart

Everything We Didn't Say by Nicole Baart

I haven’t read this author before, but this one is calling to me — a cold case and a podcast that sparks up interest in it — sign me up! I love these types of books!!!

Man of Honor by Barbara Taylor Bradford

As soon as I heard the author was writing this book, it went on my list to read. A Woman of Substance is one of my favorite books of all time, and to have a prequel and find out Blackie’s story — I cannot wait! And who knows … I just might have to reread A Woman of Substance (and the rest of the series) right after!

The Spires by Katie Moretti

The Spires by Katie Moretti

20 years ago, five best friends faced a common tragedy that changed their lives and severed their relationships, seemingly forever. But now, Willa needs Penelope’s help — and what seems like an innocent request takes a shocking turn. Just in time for Halloween, Moretti delivers a dark, twisty thriller full of secrets, lies and the reality that, for some, the past is never really in the past.

The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews

The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews

When Ivy Perkins buys a farmhouse sight unseen, she’s looking for a second chance, not a bunch of junk left behind by the previous owners to contend with. But when she stumbles across a Santa Suit — with a secret — Ivy discovers that, sometimes, what we need finds us, especially during the holidays.

It’s a Wonderful Christmas by Julie Cantrell, Lynne Gentry, Allison Pittman, Kelli Stuart and Janyre Tromp

It’s a Wonderful Christmas by Julie Cantrell, Lynne Gentry, Allison Pittman, Kelli Stuart and Janyre Tromp

Five noted authors celebrate the most wonderful time of the year by reimagining favorite classic holiday movies. In this page-turning collection, readers will find stories sparked by National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, The Nutcracker and Remember the Night. This collection is a must-read that, like a favorite children’s bedtime story, is sure to be revisited year after year.

Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan

Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan

Where did Narnia come from? It’s the question — from an ill eight-year-old boy — that spurs Megs, Callahan’s endearing and intrepid protagonist, to go on an unexpected journey to find C.S. Lewis and unravel the mystery weighing on her brother’s heart. This science-focused student learns that, sometimes, a story isn’t just a story, and that love, loss, family and heartbreak might be the most important chapters we’ll ever write.
