Today YouTube debuted the latest episode of the “BookTube” series. It features authors Dr. Vivek Murthy, former U.S. Surgeon General (author of Together: The Healing Power of Human Connection in a Sometimes Lonely World), Lori Gottlieb (author of Maybe You Should Talk to Someone — read our review here) and Haemin Sunim (author of The Things You Can Only See When You Slow Down) discussing anxiety, mental health, and advice for self-care during these uncertain times.

The new episode is the latest chapter in YouTube’s larger At Home #WithMe campaign, designed to support, entertain and educate viewers during the global pandemic, and encourage the world to stay home and save lives. “People are coming to YouTube to connect and to find useful information,” said a spokesperson familiar with the campaign, “During these difficult times, we’re seeing people cope in different ways: through Authoritative content, Well Being Content, Learning Content and Entertainment Content.” In support of Mental Health Awareness month in May, YouTube also highlighted Well Being and Mindfulness content on its Spotlight channel from various creators, artists and public figures, as well as produced similarly themed YouTube Originals.
