Bestselling Author Jon Land Thrills Readers with New Book in the ‘Murder She Wrote’ Series

Mystery lovers will be hooked on the new Jessica Fletcher book by bestselling thriller author and BookTrib contributor, Jon Land. Readers are drawn in from the first page of “Murder She Wrote: A Date with Murder,” and their interest is held through plot twists and clever quips of the mystery itself.

Jessica Fletcher has returned with another case to solve, one that involves her friend Barbara Wirth. After her husband Hal dies from a heart attack, Jessica is convinced it was no accident. Through her investigation, Jessica uncovers many secrets regarding Hal and Barbara, like marital issues, Hal being swindled out of a fortune, and more. While investigating Hal’s death, Hal’s business partner ends up dead, further raising suspicions. Jessica finds herself more and more tangled in the case, to the point where there is no getting out. And if she isn’t careful, the next murder could be her own.

As a fan of the “Murder She Wrote” series, I loved Jon’s writing because it brought the real-life feeling of the show into the book. You feel like you are right there alongside Jessica solving mysteries. While watching the show, you follow Jessica step by step as she gathers clues necessary to solve the case. It is the same with the book. The details and imagery make you feel like you’re a part of the story.

Thankfully, this isn’t Jon’s only Jessica Fletcher book as the new literary voice of the series. Another will follow in the fall. I know I can’t wait to see what he has in store next for one of TV’s best author-turned-amateur sleuths.
