AuthorBuzz: Unplanned Pregnancies, Sexual Tension, Secrets and Giveaways!

Unplanned pregnancy always leads to complications. But how those complications multiply if the year is 1935. In my novel, Modern Girls, set in the Lower East Side of NYC, both an immigrant mother, Rose, and her—unmarried!—daughter, Dottie, are troubled to findthemselves pregnant. The women are forced to make choices that will challenge their beliefs, betray their traditions, and upset the very world they live in.

A cool aspect of writing? When characters with a walk-on role come alive and I’m eager to pen a story for them. That happened in Strung Up, when Stirling Gradsky asked her buddy, gay cowboy Cres Grant, to double-check her gaydar regarding her new co-worker, Dr. Liam Argent. Naturally Liam overheard that conversation, which started a deliciously fun, sexual-tension fueled discussion between Stirling and her nemesis, Dr. Argent. This enemies-to-lovers love story takes place in the cannabis industry in Denver.
