This week, Daniel Ford sat down with Shannon Baker, beloved author of Dark Signal and Stripped BareShe spoke about telling herself stories when she went to bed as a kid, how much of herself ends up in her main character Kate Fox, and being named 2017 Writer of the Year by Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers.

Shannon Baker is the author of the Kate Fox Mystery series as well as the Nora Abbott mystery series. She is currently a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, Western Writers of America, and many more. Baker moved seven times in less than ten years, to places like the Nebraska Sandhills to Flagstaff, Arizona. She believes that it has been helpful in writing great western settings.
