The Sunshine Sisters Jane GreenThis week, Gabriela Pereira interviews New York Times bestselling author Jane Green about her latest novel The Sunshine Sisters, a story with such intricate character relationships that it’s far more than a beach read. Jane Green is the author of eighteen novels, seventeen of which are New York Times bestsellers. Her novels have been published in over 25 languages, with over ten million books in print worldwide. In the past, she joined the ABC News Team to help write their first enhanced digital book about the history of Royal marriages, and then joined as a correspondent covering the wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton. Not only has she spent her time writing books and blogs, but she has also contributed to various publications online and in print, including anthologies and novellas, and features for The Huffington Post, The Sunday Times, Cosmopolitan, and Self. Today, she lives in Connecticut with her family.

Listen in to hear them discuss the delicate balance between writing for the market and writing the story in your heart. Jane gives a window into how she crafted the varying personalities of her characters through a unique point of view framework and shares how she receives feedback and incorporates it into her work while still staying true to her vision for the story. Gabriela Pereira

Gabriela Pereira earned her MFA from The New School, in New York. While undercover as a graduate student, she learned the inside scoop on MFA programs, invented a slew of writing tools all her own, and developed a new, more effective way for writers to learn their craft. Now she wants to share this discovery and help writers around the world get the “knowledge without the college.” She is represented by Jeff Kleinman at Folio Literary Management and her book about DIY MFA was published in spring 2016 from Writer’s Digest Books.
