On April 15, 2013, I waited with my five-year-old son at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. When the blast of a homemade bomb packed with nails and screws went off three feet away, my legs took the brunt of the explosion, but protected my son. Seventeen surgeries and sixty-five procedures later, I made the decision to have my left leg amputated. It was the best decision I ever made.

I’m beside myself with glee that this prequel to my Rock Chick series has been unleashed! There was some time when I never thought I’d write it. When I couldn’t be in that terrible place with Daisy. But I’m oh-so glad that she called to me, demanding her story be told so she could give it to me and now I can give it to you! I loved every moment spent with Daisy and Marcus. And I hope you do too!
“Phoebe never hated her husband more than when she visited him in prison.” They meet as teenagers: Phoebe recognizes Jake’s fire—but not his dark talent for deception. When he reveals his crimes, her panic and desire to protect her family collide. My fascination with this story began the day Madoff’s scheme broke. Her pain, media theorizing, and his façade captured me.
Combining research and ‘what if,’ from Brooklyn to penthouse to prison, from fact to fiction, came The Widow of Wall Street.
For many people, March is the time when winter has gone on forever and one starts to dream about blue skies and white sand beaches. I wrote WHITE SAND, BLUE SEA: A ST. BARTS LOVE STORY for that reason: to transport my readers to the glorious beaches of St. Barts. St Barts is often called the jewel of the Caribbean and it is known for its French inspired cuisine as well as its fantastic snorkeling and scuba diving. To help get over the winter blues; I’m giving away copies to five lucky readers.
