Our friends over at Spartan Race had quite the sense of humor today when they released a short video featuring Spartan Up’s Joe De Sena, founder and CEO of Spartan Race, announcing the new Spartan Lite. Winded after climbing the Great Wall of China, De Sena declares, “Human beings just aren’t meant to be pushed this hard.”
With the slogan, “Spartan Race has had enough of pushing racers to their limits. It’s time to take it easy. Stay in your comfort zone with Spartan Lite,” Spartan Race found a way to get their devoted followers the best way possible on April Fools’ Day! Did you fall for it?!
Spartan Up!: A Take-No-Prisoners Guide to Overcoming Obstacles and Achieving Peak Performance in Life by Joe De Sena (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2014)
Get it done. That’s the underlying message in De Sena’s Spartan Up! book, which prompts the languishing to get off the couch and move.
