Video: Missed It? Interview with Leslie Grossman and Link Out: How to Turn Your Network into a Chain of Lasting Connections

Proven networking strategies to achieve lifetime professional success

In today’s competitive market, the typical ways of communicating don’t serve the purpose of building strong, long-term connections. We need to build collaborative relationships that are memorable and influence others to aid in achieving our goals. What is the first step to connecting with the right person? It’s not simply passing along a business card or rattling on about yourself, it is listening to what to the other person has to say. Link Out is filled with strategies that can turn strangers into connections that can change your career or business.

  • Explains how to ensure that potential entourage members perceive you positively
  • Offers a tracking process, which enables accountability
  • Teaches how to express visions and goals through your personal brand
  • Helps you to transform brief connections into relationships that produce valuable introductions and referrals

Link Out delivers an entourage of people willing and eager to make introductions, connections, and referrals—propelling one’s resume or business to the top of the heap.

Meet the Author

Hi! My name’s Leslie Grossman and I am a leadership strategist, keynote speaker, consultant/coach and serial entrepreneur. I believe that collaboration, authentic communication and trusted connections – the 3 ‘C’s – transform careers, businesses and the world. They are at the core of the strategy of my newest book “Link Out” which I credit for enabling me to create a life and career I love.

A serial entrepreneur, I started my first business at 24 and learned the magic of linking out from mentors, clients and collaborative leaders. Linking out was the tipping point for the success of all my businesses, and my leadership roles at organizations like NAWBO and the Women’s Leadership Forum. I credit my entourage, a concept I share in LINK OUT, for propelling the growth of Women’s Leadership Exchange, a national conference program reaching 65,000 women entrepreneurs and professionals which I co-founded in 2002, and my marketing agency Communications/Marketing Action. Today, at Leslie Grossman Leadership I help companies and organizations succeed by training their teams in the “Link Out” leadership and business development principles.
