  • The Auschwitz Volunteer: Beyond Bravery. Exceptional account of Auschwitz before it truly became known as a concentration camp. Actually it was always seedy den of heartless murder but first it neede to be built up and so the tale of it’s sordid history is told.

    Currently reading The Darlings, one of those books where I feel out of the loop as I personally don’t understand much about hedge funds, Ponzi schemes, insider trading and the rest of the Financial world hoopla. Still it is quite readable and the story moves swiftly forward.

    I’m still reading 1Q84, but in my defense I also tend to read more than one book as my attention span can wander because there is so much I want to read, only so much I can read and then I have to work.

    Currently reading 1q84 by haruki murakami. So far so good, I just wish I wasn’t so exhausted from worked I keep nodding off and this is a doorstopper of a read :0)

  • Finished up Late For Tea At The Deer Palace by Tamara Chalabi. I highly recommend this one about an influential Iraqi family throughout Iraq’s tumultuous history. I get completely absorbed in such historical insights, the things that we don’t see or hear in the news or history books.
