Wondering what makes Katniss Everdeen more popular than Temperence Brennan, Eve Dallas, Kay Scarpetta, or so many others. Any ideas?
Because Katniss Everdeen is awesome. She’s a strong female who is smart, courageous, and caring. She is like a female super hero in her own right. That in itself is pretty awesome, considering I can’t think of any main protagonist female superhero at all. In this day in age, it’s important to switch roles from time to time. She’s the protector, the avenger, and the one who is sought after in battle.All of those ingredients make for an ever popular character for audiences, both male and female everywhere!
Interesting. You don’t see Temperance Brennan, Kay Scarpetta, Morgan Sierra, or Stephanie Plum as the same kind of protector/avenger?
Well, perhaps they could be seen as that for arguments sake. However, the phenomenon of Katniss Everdeen oversees those characters in this day in age I would have to say.
