I like to post a review on books I win. I post them on my review blog and several sites, but don’t know if the author ever sees them. Has anyone found a place to post reviews here?

I have read several ARCs and have rarely found anything other than typos in them that would be eliminated in the final book. I`ve enjoyed almost every ARC I`ve read.
In reply to - curtis721 posted an update in the group The Galley Alley Have you ever read an advance reader copy (ARC)? How many? What was the ARC and how did you acquire it? What do you remember about the ARC that you […] · View -

Actually, ARCs usually state on them that they can not be sold. I`ve read many, usually trade to family members or friends but eventually donate them to remote locations with small libraries, some childrens books to illiteracy groups, some adult books to hospitals and seniors groups. Signed ARCs I keep. I`ve received ARCs from GoodReads,…[Read more]

Actually yes, she has heard about it. Brenda (my daughter) was only 5 when we got her. Unfortunately something happened and the goat died. There was an autopsy because we thought she might have been poisoned, but it proved inconclusive. Every spring since then Brenda has told us we promised to get her another goat “in the spring). She is now 43…[Read more]

I thought so, remembering our (actually my youngest daughter’s) goat who was actually called Cindy… it was a little embarrassing when my brother later married a Cindy! She was a tall white goat (no, not my sister-in-law!), a Saanen doe. We used to sing to her ”Oh, Saanen Doe, we long to hear you…” when we didn’t know where she was hiding.

We had a goat, and when the oil delivery truck came to the farm he would be sitting in his truck talking to us and rubbing her head, not noticing that she was eating the straw stuffing out of his seat while he was sitting on it!-
I love that! Nibbles is so cute and fits her goat-iness:)

I love that story!! Our herds are mostly Boer goats but we do have a couple Saanen does that were retired from a dairy farm. They are sweet girls. Did you ever tell Cindy about her namesake hahah.
Thanks for these names…they’re great!-

Maybe a stuffed animal would do at this point
OR a Christmas ornament with a goat on it. She needs closure, Mom
