Restarted ”Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain” by Oliver Sacks. I had started it a couple of years ago but then my life blew up and I had to return it to the library unfinished. It’s absorbing and thought provoking as it relates (true) case studies of people who have experienced neurological changes affecting how they interact with, perceive, and create music. It opens with a man who is struck by lightning and becomes obsessed with composing music he hears in his head though he had previously had little interest in music.
