I checked this society out and I wonder too. Would be a perfect case for them to look into. It seemed that every week someone new was accused of the crime. Even Mario Spezi, a journalist working with Preston, was thrown in jail as a possible suspect.

The Galley Alley: 2 years, 3 months agoI read copy of “These Things Hidden” by Heather Gudenkauf which reminded me of the YA classic, “Speak.” Loved this book and her thoughts at the end about the “safe haven” laws that provide a safe place for parents of unwanted newborns to leave their children without fear of arrest for abandonment. I’m reading ”The Monster of Florence” by Doug Preston and what a read! I can definitely envision the film version as I read it. Who thought idyllic Tuscany could be so fraught with danger. A true life story of a serial killer attacking Tuscan couples in the throes of lovemaking…all the drama you’d expect in a story about an Italian Jack the Ripper.
