My mom had many things to say that would make you go,right,Mom. One of my favorite was”I would rather have my kids walking on my feet then my heart” Now with grown kids,I think of Mom every time I hurt because of something a child is going through and I can’t solve their hurt.

My mom always told me when I was terribly confused about a decision that I should not do anything until I felt more assured and a sense of peace about which way to turn. She was right.

When I was naughty, my Mom used to say, ”I hope you have TEN kids just like you and don’t call me to babysit!” She was such a mild mannered lady and when she said something like that, it really got my attention and I was immediately ashamed!
