Buying America Back
Public Group active 6 months, 2 weeks ago agoThanks to everyone who paused to think about what they were buying for a few weeks. Better labeling on products would clearly be useful. Take Care!

Buying America Back 10 months agoI heard on the TV the other day that a lady senator says we need more things made in the USA which I entirely agree with. She said we should have a distinct label for our products.

Buying America Back 12 months agoMy mom bought pickles the other day from IGA..on the back of the label it says the cucumbers are from Mexico. What a hoot..says the pickles are packed in the US but the pickles are not from the US.

Buying America Back 1 year, 1 month agoI have roughly been reading more labels. We bought a new Buick which was assembled in the USA. Also went to a library book sale and those I’ve looked at were printed in the USA. While on vacation in WI, I went outlet shopping and that was disappointing for USA products. It is nigh onto impossible to find clothes Made in the USA. However, we did…[Read more]

Buying America Back 1 year, 1 month agoI watched the video and I do hope that the US can pass a law where the labels will be updated.I would prefer to buy more things made in the US if we can do something about it. Thanks for letting us know about the video.

Buying America Back 1 year, 1 month agoI have become more aware of what I’m buying and have even started checking out the labels of things I have at home. I wish that it was required to put where an item was made on the packaging. Sometimes it only said who it is distributed by and not where it was made. I wonder why and what they are trying to hide.

Buying America Back 1 year, 1 month agoI have been looking on more labels on things when I shop. It really saddens me how much stuff is not made in the US only distributed here. We have so much easter candy where I work but 90% of it is made in China, Mexico or elsewhere.

Buying America Back 1 year, 1 month agoI tried to do more shopping but I have been working double shifts and when I do see something I want, it is not made in the US. Like for instance, we have new panties by Hanes at work..every package is either made in India or El Salvador.

Buying America Back 1 year, 1 month agoI did pretty well this weekend….everything was from the US except for the bananas. Just can’t find them here (yet still looking!) I’m assuming on some other items that don’t specifically say made anywhere…just distributed by a company in the US

Buying America Back 1 year, 1 month agoI purchased a few things at the store today and was pleasantly surprised to see some of our local dairy farms on the shelf
Also, I complained to the Hanes company today. A few weeks ago I bought a multi pack of underwear from them. 2 out of the 5 pairs fell apart with 1-2 wearings. ***Made in Vietnam*** -

Buying America Back 1 year, 1 month agoPreparing Easter baskets has REALLY be a challenge. Colored eggs are going to be back in style at my house, will only use what plastic eggs are left over from years past. Have been investigating flower seed packets to add to the baskets . . . but where do those come from? No labeling on the ones I have looked at . . .
