About The Book
This is the largest eBook ever published on The Rolling Stones running over 2.000 pages. It contains without exception high quality press content – with original articles and interviews from back in the ’60s, some of them digitalized for the first time. The eBook is enriched with more than 130 carefully selected images. Best-selling author and journalist Hanspeter Künzler wrote fascinating and funny to read introductions for each of the 50 chapters. Obviously this eBook is more than just a band biography. It’s a compendium about The Rolling Stones, western history, music history and press history of the last 50 years. And this way a must-have for fans and for every interested and open-minded reader. Part one includes the first 25 years from 1962 to 1986.
About The Author
Hanspeter Künzler left Switzerland due to the usual musical differences and arrived in London just as Rip Rig & Panic were tearing up the rule books. A music fan through and through, he stumbled into journalism more by luck than design. He has been earning his record tokens by writing about music in particular and the arts in general ever since. Amongst the many top stars he has interviewed are Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Tina Turner, Robert Plant, Mark Knopfler, Blur, Oasis and Radiohead. For several years he produced and presented a weekly music show on the BBC World Service. Today, his features appear in a variety of publications in Switzerland, Germany, the UK and other countries, including Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Sublime Magazine, Loop, Guitar Dreams and Musik Express. He regularly presents a show with the latest music from Britain on national Swiss radio, DRS. His Michael Jackson biography “Black Or White” – written just before the star’s untimely death – was a top 10 bestseller in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
After seven years of studying law in Germany Matthias Wuerfl started freelancing for German newspapers, magazines and radio stations. For monthly titles like Playboy, Instyle or Glamour he conducted interviews with stars like Pink, Carlos Santana, P.Diddy, Lionel Richie, Carla Bruni, Mick Jagger and many more. In order to sell these interviews outside of Germany he founded The Interview People GmbH (theinterviewpeople.com) in 2007 together with two brothers he’d known since childhood: Michael and Uli Karg. While gaining customers in more than 70 countries and not only selling their own interviews but also features and images from many prestigious publishing houses they decided to found another company in order to create ebooks: The eBook People.
